Statement of Diana Blasingame To The Media
I would like to first thank all of the hard working police officers of the Plano Police Department. The detectives have done a wonderful job in keeping the family informed of the developments in this case. I know that they will do everything to bring Eitan home to me - his mother.
Also, I would like to thank the FBI and the United States Marshals Service in both Texas and Louisiana as well as in Washington DC. I cannot tell you how comforting it is to know that these agencies are working together to bring Eitan home to his family.
The United States Department of State as well as Interpol is continuing to coordinate their efforts with local, state and federal agencies. I would also like to thank them and those agencies in Mexico and abroad that are following this case closely.
Finally, I would like to make a public plea to Michaels family to please cooperate with all of the investigators. I am worried that Michael may try to hurt himself or Eitan. He is not well and needs help. He can get that help here in Texas or Louisiana. He cannot get that help while on the run from the law.
Michael - if you read this - give yourself up. There is no life for you or Eitan always on the run. They will find you Michael. There is nowhere for you to go. If your family helps you they will be committing a crime and could go to jail for even talking to you on the phone. Give yourself up and do not put your family through that. Do it for Eitan. Do it for your mom and dad. Do it for Jade. Please stop this Michael.
Thank you also to the local media in Dallas and Lafayette for making this case public. Investigators need the help of the public to help us find Eitan.
